You might know me, you might not. I might know you, or I might not.
` Hello there! I’m IU. But most people just call me Jieun. I guess a little introduction of myself wouldn’t hurt, would it?!
` Well, first of all… I’m one of Apollo’s daughters. Yeah, that’s right— I love singing. You’ll often catch me singing almost everywhere I go. You can find me by the archery range, the cafeteria (I absolutely love food, if you need an eating buddy… I got you homie), by the entrance of the forest… Well, I’m just about anywhere! But er… well, yeah… If you need me, I’ll come over at the speed of light! (no pun intended)
` I’m a little crazy— but hey, aren’t we all?! But… If you need a friend, never fear! Because Jieun is here!
They didn’t call me Bansin’s resident little sister before for nothing! But well, yes— I’m a returning student of Bansin Academy. I haven’t been around for a while, so… yep.
My ask box is always open! If you ever need me, I’ll be there! Promise! I hope we’ll all become closer as time passes?! Seriously… my ask box is always open. If you ever want to plot, talk to me about something, etc… I’m here! “Never fear, Jieun is here!”
“i really cherished the stage”
Her cold, delicate hands moved towards the black metal grip of her suitcase. Her brows furrowed as she closed her eyes in a silent prayer. The girl bit at her lips as she did this—lost in complete thought. She took a moment to relieve herself by letting out a sigh. She slowly opened her eyes to reveal that one place she truly called home, Bansin Academy.
Her eyes fluttered from the tears forming in her eyes. She had to close them again to wipe them away. “You’re such a cry baby, Jieun,” she muttered.
The brunette tugged at her bag, her steps slow and soft as she passed through the school’s grand gate. “It’s March. Isn’t it?” She asked herself. A small smile curved against her lips as the thought occurred to her. It had been little over a year since she first came to the academy.
Everything still looked the same. That one tall tree towards the dormitory still stood tall, the air had the warmth that welcomed her on her first day, the grass was greener than ever. But, the only thing that changed was the people who stayed and those who left. She couldn’t wait to see who was still around. But she knew that once she figures out who left, she’d be in tears again.
Her footsteps became softer and softer with each step. Within just a few seconds, she stopped walking and stood in place. What she didn’t realize was that there were already tears falling down the side of her cheeks.
She couldn’t help but remember so many events. That one day where she found out her mother had passed away and Chaerin was there to cheer her up, meeting Luna in the hallway… spending time with Chunji and Ljoe, getting to meet Jiyeon, Luna, and instantly becoming best friends… All of those moments rushed through her head, one after another.
Jieun shook her head as she started back on her feet again. She trudged over to the entrance of the dormitory, feeling the sharpest pain in her stomach ever. She recalled more moments—like that one spring afternoon where she and Bang Oppa had a water gun fight. Heck, she missed all of it. Everything about Bansin was home to her.
The girl took a seat inside of the building to clear her mind. She needed to calm down, but… She couldn’t. She was angry at herself for leaving so often. But at the same time, she knew she had to… Because it hurt her so much to recall all of the memories spent and shared.
Hands folded and legs crossed, she held her hands in a prayer. “I’m sorry for everything,” She said softly, breathing hitching at its highest. “I’m sorry for leaving. I’m just… I’m sorry. But I’m back now. It’s—it’s not too late to make up for leaving, is it…?”
warning: slowest roleplayer in the world here.
Yongguk oppa! ; A ; Sigh, of course I know it’s you. Who else calls me that besides you?! TT_______TT
It’s alright, sometimes… We just have to leave and live on with memories…? It’s understandable! I’m upset to hear you won’t be coming back, But I’m happy to hear we’ll still keep in touch! As for myself… I’m just.. I’m sorry. I’m sorry for not coming back sooner and stalling… ; A ;
I miss and love you! I hope things are going well for you <3
Full Name: Jieun Lee. (IU)
Name of parent: Apollo
Not having a father around was something Jieun had to accept while growing up. She didn’t think too much of it since her mother and grandmother were always around to care for her, but she found that it was a bit too strange how they never spoke of him. All she remembered them saying about him was that her father had passed away when she was fairly small. But whenever she was in the presence of the sun, she felt as if her father was smiling down at her—watching after her. With that idea in mind, Jieun would often escape to the fields by her house and talk to her father in the open field. Though she was alone whenever she did this, she knew his presence was around.
Time passed and hints of Jieun’s powers began to show more often. Her mother’s sickness was worsening there was no doubt that the truth had to be told sooner or later. Every passing night her mother had to stay at the hospital, Jieun sat beside her mother’s hospital bed and sang songs to her, making sure that she never left her mother’s side. But to her surprise, her mother finally decided to speak of her father again. Her mother began telling her stories of how she had met him, claiming that he was an incredible man. But what she ended off with made Jieun dumbstruck. She couldn’t believe that her father was some sort of mythological God. She felt like her mother was talking nonsense because of her medication doses.
After quite some time, her mother had her enrolled into Bansin Academy. She wanted Jieun to meet others who were like her. And that, she did. Jieun met many friends whom she fell in love with. She felt accepted and wanted around others, she felt as if she was… at home. She stayed at the academy for a while, but suddenly received a letter saying that her mother had passed away. With this suddenly happening, Jieun was sent back to her home to stay with her grandmother.
But likewise, her grandmother wanted Jieun to go back to Bansin. She told her that there were others who were waiting on her. People who had missed her to death—yet she had walked away on them. She didn’t mean to leave though… With her absence away from the academy, her heart began to ache even more. She wasn’t sure what to do, for she didn’t want to abandon her grandmother either. But now that her grandmother has settled with distant-relatives, they decided that it was best for her to return to Bansin. “Home is a place where you can always come back to. For me, I believe Bansin is home.”
